About Us

Namaste — Welcome to Amaghar

Amaghar was born from a simple yet powerful belief:
home is not just a place — it is a feeling.

It is the warmth of Āmā’s care.
It is culture passed from one generation to the next.
It is the quiet pride of knowing who you are and where you come from.

Inspired by that feeling, Amaghar brings authentic Nepali products to the world — with honesty, dignity, and deep respect for Nepal’s people and traditions.

Amaghar.com was officially launched on Monday, 22 September 2025 (6th Ashoj 2082 BS) — Dashain, Ghatasthapana, the most auspicious day in the Nepali calendar. We chose this day intentionally. Dashain symbolises renewal, strength, and the victory of enduring values — the same values that guide everything we do.

Our Story: A Mother’s Home, Without Borders

The name Amaghar means mother’s home — a place of unconditional love, resilience, and belonging.

Whether you live in Kathmandu, London, Sydney, New York, or anywhere else in the world, the feeling of home travels with you. Through carefully selected fashion, handicrafts, books, spiritual items, home essentials, and everyday cultural products, we help you stay connected — not through nostalgia alone, but through lived experience.

Amaghar connects:

  • Nepal and the global community
  • Skilled artisans and conscious customers
  • Tradition and modern life

Every product is chosen with cultural integrity and respect for the hands that create it.

Founder’s Note

“I’m Krishna Bhatta, and Amaghar began as a longing for home while living in the United Kingdom. Far from Nepal, I realised that home lives in culture, memory, and the meaningful objects that connect us to our roots — inspired by the warmth and values of Āmā (mother).

Amaghar exists to protect that connection.
We bridge Nepal and the world, bringing authentic, thoughtfully sourced products that honour tradition, craftsmanship, and community.

Wherever you are, may what you receive from Amaghar carry warmth, pride, and a reminder that home is never truly left behind.”
